Single Family Residence
1101 Gannett Rd. – Picabo
Here’s the owners’ story: ”Bruce and I love the South Valley because of its tranquility and serenity. The 27 acres captured our hearts when we drove up to the top of the knoll to watch a mid-summer sunset. We had no idea that the sunrises would almost out-do the sunsets and all the many other benefits of rural living. Aside from the 360-degree views, we see many varieties of wildlife including deer, elk, fox, coyote, marmots, cotton-tailed bunnies, countless winged beauties including red-tailed hawks and our own resident pair of owls.
- 360-degree views will never cease to amaze you
- The home is framed by the gate near the base of the 27 acres
- Vaulted ceilings and a beautiful stone fireplace in the living room
- The high quality gourmet kitchen will please serious chefs
- A cozy breakfast area is between the kitchen and living areas
We love to star-gaze in the bright night sky, untouched by light pollution, and count shooting stars. The unique terrain of the acreage also drew us to this property. From the 10 acres of farmable ground (with its own underground water well) to a perfectly situated home site which takes advantage of all the views and sunlight benefits to the approximately 100 foot elevation drop into the historic volcanic crater, it has plenty of character. We are only moments from the Hayspur Fish Hatchery, World Famous fly-fishing at Silver Creek, and the Nature Conservancy Silver Creek Preserve. There’s no need for fences or window coverings at our cozy retreat. While it is rural, we still have access to all the mainstream valley services within a 15-minute drive, and an essentials market and TruValue hardware store within a 3-5 minute drive in Picabo. There are no other available properties in the greater Wood River Valley area that offer 360-degree views, the privacy and seclusion and acreage this size, yet in such close proximity to Hailey and Ketchum/Sun Valley and the World Class amenities that they provide.”
