Meet Sonja

Sonja Huntsman specializes in selling real estate in the year-round resort area of Sun Valley, Idaho. This area includes Sun Valley, Ketchum, Blaine County, Hailey, and Bellevue. Sonja works with a team that supports her efforts to provide great customer service, communication, consistency and results in her business. Her main partner is Luanne Mandeville, also her mother, who has been in the real estate business since 1980.

Sonja is a seasoned communicator who will speak openly with you, evaluate your needs, and address your questions and concerns. She actively works with buyers and sellers. She can introduce buyers to the Sun Valley area, show homes, land, condominiums, or town homes to fulfill the buyers lifestyle goals. Her knowledge of the area and extensive marketing resources make her a definite asset for sellers.

Sonja brings a fresh excitement to real estate with her enthusiasm and outgoing personality as well as years of experience since the start of her career in 1995. Sonja has completed education about “green living” and is one of only a few Realtors in Sun Valley with an Eco-Broker® designation. She is also designated as a Certified Residential

Specialists® (CRS). Only 4% of Realtors® in the United States have obtained this designation showing she is committed to education and excellence in her business! She is always taking classes and seminars to keep at the forefront of the industry. She is currently studying topics that include staging homes, blogging, and social media.

Sonja involves herself and supports many Wood River Valley community events. As well, she volunteers her time to give back to the real estate community as an advocate for buyers and sellers. She was the president of the Sawtooth Board of Realtors® in 2009 and sits on several of the board committees.

Sonja represents the lifestyle of mountain living. She was born and raised in Lake Tahoe, CA and subsequently relocated to the mountains of Sun Valley, ID. She was an avid ski racer since childhood and continues to enjoy skiing on Sun Valley’s Bald Mountain. Other outdoor interests include telemark skiing, snow shoeing, mountain biking, hiking and, when near a warm beach, SCUBA diving.

Family is very important to Sonja. She is married to her amazing husband who is a full time firefighter and they have twins who keep them fulfilled and organized at home! Her entire extended family now lives in the area – a testimonial to the magical Sun Valley lifestyle!
